NEW PARLIAMENTARY INQUIRY ON OMAGH BOMBING
New parliamentary enquiry on Omagh bombing
THE Northern Ireland Affairs Select Committee is to carry out a short inquiry into the continuing impact of the Omagh bombing. The Committee has already held exploratory one-off evidence sessions with the Omagh Support and Self-help Group and BBC Panorama reporter, John Ware, and producer Leo Telling. It intends to focus on the sharing of intelligence relating to the bombing and lessons learnt in the intervening ten years.
The Committee has invited any individual or organisation with an interest in this matter to submit written evidence in accordance with the guidelines stated below: Each submission should: be no more than 3,000 words in length: have numbered paragraphs; and be in Word format or a rich text format with as little use of colour or logos as possible.
A copy of the submission should be sent by email to northircom@parliament.uk marked 'Omagh -10 years on'" and should arrive by Friday May 1, 2009.
