BISHOP TO CELEBRATE SPECIAL MASS FOR VICTIMS OF ATROCITY

Bishop to celebrate special mass for victims of atrocity

BISHOP of Derry, Dr Seamus Hegarty will be chief celebrant at a special Mass in Omagh this Friday night, in honour of those bereaved and injured in the August bombing.
Large numbers are expected to attend 7.30pm Mass in the Sacred Heart Church which will he offered for the victims of the atrocity.
Local clergy will also be con celebrating the Mass.
Following the ceremony, Bishop Hegarty will meet with the injured and relatives of the bereaved during what will be an emotional gathering in St Mary's Hall.
Local Parish Priest, Fr Michael Keaveny said this week he hoped the Mass would help those who have suffered as a result of the tragedy.
"I hope it will bring some comfort to the people who have been bereaved or injured.
"Coming close to Christmas, it will be an especially difficult time for those who have lost loved ones. I hope this ceremony will lift their hearts at this time" he added.
