PAISLEY MEETS OMAGH VICTIMS

Paisley meets Omagh victims

THE OMAGH Victims Self Help and Support Group is calling for a full cross-border public inquiry for the town and apparently has won the backing of one of the North's top political leaders in their latest venture. Dr Ian Paisley, DUP leader (pictured with Support Group member Gerald McFarland), who was in town last Friday, to meet with the group pledged his support to the families for any assistance he could give in their fight for justice. He also pledged his help to pursue a number of other issues which were discussed at Friday afternoon's important face to face session. Chairman of the group, Michael Gallagher, described the meeting as very worthwhile and said that after meeting with the final two party leaders the group planned to meet with the heads of the four main churches. He said Dr Paisley was very receptive to what they had to say and what they had called for during the meeting.
