Prince Charles was in Omagh yesterday to meet with bereaved families and some of those injured in last August's Market Street combing, as well as civic leaders and member of the business community.
During the afternoon visit, he called at the offices of Omagh District Council, where he was introduced to Michael Duffy, Senior Social Worker, who in turn introduced a number of bereaved families and young people injured in the Omagh bomb.
The prince spent some time chatting to the group who were aware that he had visited Omagh in the'immediate aftermath of the bomb.
Welcoming the Prince to Omagh, the Duke of Abercorn, who is also the Lord Lieutenant for Tyrone presented a number of local people including Angela Colhoun, Sheriff, Councillor Allan Rainey, Vice-Chairman of Omagh District Council, John McKinney and Adam Ingram, minister of State for Northern Ireland.
A special award has been dedicated to every nurse who cared for the injured, dying and bereaved following the Omagh bomb.
