Curragh event boosts Omagh Fund

OVER £50,000 was raised for the Omagh Fund during last weekend's Budweiser Irish Festival Derby at the Curragh.
The massive boost was provided through an initiative launched during the Independent Newspapers Pretty Polly Stakes on the second day of the race festival.
Bank of Ireland Asset Management, Price-WaterhouseCoopers and Bloxham Stock Brokers each re-sponsored a race for £15,000, which had already been sponsored by the IAWS Group plc. And several other corporate bodies also made donations towards the event.
The fundraiser has brought the Fund's total to almost £5 million.
