SUPPORT GROUP HELPED 1,000 VICTIMS
THE Erne, Strule and Clogher Valley Branch of Victim Support has just completed its busiest year, after giving help to over 1,000 victims.
The branch helped 1,919 causalities of crime last year - an increase of 18 per cent on the the previous year.
The figures have gone up year on year since the branch was first established five years ago.
In addition, over 400 victims of the Omagh bo;nb were supported and this important work continues.

Victim Support helps a person come to terms with the experience of being a victim of crime, and it completely confidential and free. The service provides emotional and practical support and its chairperson, Patricia Mohan said "after five years of hard works, we believe we provide a very important service for people who are vulnerable at a particularly difficult time.
Those helped include victims of burglary, assault, robbery, theft, criminal damage, arson intimidation and armed robbery.
The Erne, Strule and Clogher Valley Branch has just recruited and trained nine new volunteers which brings the total number of volunteers to 27.
They visit victims in their own homes and are at the very heart of the service.
