HOMAGE TO BOMB VICTIMS
Homage to bomb victims
DEAR SIR, - Whilst flicking through the local weekly newspaper, the 'Coastweek' I came across this piece of writing entitled 'Homage to Bomb Victims' I believe it was written following the Nairobi bombing on 7 August this year.
Being a native of Omagh, I thought that it was just as appropriate a homage to the victims of the bombing which occurred in Omagh just over a week later.
Perhaps you might like to publish it in your paper for your readers.
TERRORISM is not an act of wisdom but act of lunatic callous kingdom
Disregarding love, peace and unity
Strangling throat of humanity
And
Words are feeble to heal the wounds of mental, physical stress inflicted.
By the recent bomb blast furious fast
Entangling in its grip innocent lives
Destroyed buildings paralysed economy
Engulfing the country into catastrophe
Senseless and cowardice terrorist act
Condemned by all peace loving people
A dreadful memory no one can steal Passage of time has power to heal.
Convey we our heartfelt condolences
Sympathy to victims of circumstances:
Pray we Almighty Lord to rest noble souls in eternal peace and reinforce in bereaved families, relatives, friends
Courage and strength to bear such loss
In loving memory of departed souls
Let us plant a tree for each of them
A living monument for the ideals they lived shall ever be fresh as fragrance of rose whatever circumstances to us may pose.
