Donations continue to pour into victims' fund

Lawsuit benefits Omagh Fund
THE fund established in the wake of the Omagh bombing is set to swell with news this week that stars from the music and film industries 'have pledged their support to the cause.
A star-studded compilation album featuring top Irish stars is already in the pipeline.
While Ballymena born actor, Liam Neeson has donated proceeds of his libel action against a leading national newspaper to the fund.
Major names in the pop world are already believed to have agreed to contribute to the album which is in currently in the final stage of planning.
U2, Sinead O'Connor and Downpatrick band Ash are ,just a few of the artistes who have pledged to contribute to the recording.
Meanwhile, it has been revealed that tickets for the Omagh concert due to take Place in. Belfast's Waterfront Hall sold out within 36 hours of going on sale.
The concert which features Brian Kennedy and Mary Black takes place Sunday night.
The fund also looks set to benefit to the tune of IR£120,000 following a function which took palace in Dublin on Monday night.
The massive sum was raised during a special event in the RDS, during which items donated by various individuals and companies came under the hammer in order to raise funds.
Among the items contributed to the cause was a fabulous dress from Irish designer, John Rocha.
Actor Liam Neeson star of Schlinder's List and Michael' Collins also donated "substantial damages" following the settlement of a libel case
against a national newspaper last week.
The action followed reports that his marriage to wife, Natasha Richardson had broken down.
The newspaper concerned apologised to the couple for carrying the report and agreed to pay an undisclosed amount to the Omagh memorial Fund.
Meanwhile a multitude of other fund-raising events have also been planned to help boost the fund's coffers, including concerts, charity walks and sporting events.
And a host of local artistes are set to perform at a special concert in the Royal Arms Hotel later this month which will see a plethora of home grow talent perform in aid of the victims.
