FRESH ARRESTS AFTER OMAGH BOMBING
THREE MEN were arrested in Dundalk yesterday morning (Wed) and are being questioned in relation to the Omagh bombing.
Gardai told the "Herald" that the three, aged 25, 28 and 32, were arrested under Section 30 of the Offences Against the State Act in the early hours of Wednesday morning.
Two are being held at Carrickmacross and the third is being held at Monaghan.
The latest arrests follow the release of all thirteen people who were arrested last week.
The thirteen were arrested in simultaneous dawn raids on Monday last, six from the North and seven from the South.
The six from the North are believed to be from the South Armagh area, where detectives believed the 500lb bomb was assembled.
In the 26 Counties, the six men and one woman, were from the Castleblayney and Carrickmacross areas.
The female was released on Monday night, as were three men. The three others were released the following day.
Gardai detectives were questioning those arrested in connection with the theft of the Donegal registered maroon coloured Vauxhall cavalier, which was used to carry the bomb on August 15th.
