RACING ACE VISITS INJURED FAN
Racing ace visits injured TWELVE year old
Alastair Hall, who was seriously injured in the Omagh bomb, meets with his idol, Formula One racing ace, Damon Hill. Alistair, a first year pupil at the Academy, who had his right leg amputated below the knee following the blast, couldn't believe his eyes when Damon Hill along with Eddie Jordan walked into the out-patients clinic at Altnagelvin. On the day after the explosion and after his operation, the grand-prix mad Alistair's first question was 'How did the Jordan team do?' The meeting was set up by Alistair's best friend and neighbour, Gareth Farmer; who
commented, "I just can't put into words what this means to Alistair, normally he's very quiet but now you can't shut him up after the meeting".
