DEGRADING VICTIMS
Degrading victims
Four years ago, a bunch of savages tore Omagh apart with a bomb decimating lives, killing dozens of innocent people, and maiming and scarring others for life.
Within the past week the people who were rescued from the aftermath of that bomb, many of them carrying physical and mental scars for life, were victimised for the second time as lawyers for the Compensation Agency had them strip to their underwear to reveal the extent of their injuries.
Though for decent people such infringements on dignity are disgraceful, they are commonplace in government agencies throughout the country. It must stop.
The morons who conceived of such an idea should be sacked forthwith, and the Minister who tolerated such humiliating practices should join them.
