CO-FOUNDER PARTS FROM SUPPORT GROUP

Co-founder parts from support group

LAURENCE Rush, whose wife Elizabeth was killed in the Omagh bomb, has been asked by fellow members of the Omagh Support and Self Help Group not to attend any further meetings of the group, it has emerged this week.
A letter to Mr Rush, signed by senior members of the group said, 'At a meeting of the above committee, it was agreed that you would not be invited to attend any further meetings. You consistently defied any reasonable conduct and put members under unnecessary stress. We wish you well in your own endeavours.'
Commenting on the decision this week Mr Rush said that it was his controversial comments that had sealed his fate in the organisation. Mr Rush was one of the co-founders of the Omagh group, set up in the aftermath of the bombing.
The news comes as the campaign by the families to launch a civil action against the alleged bombers was entering its final stages, with writs due to be served on the suspects by August 10.
