NEW YORK HEALING WILL TAKE A LONG TIME
New York healing will take a long time
HAVING moved from Omagh to New York seven years ago I felt that I had to write to let the Omagh people know how much it means to the New Yorkers to see support in this terrible tragedy.
It brings back a lot of memories of the Omagh bombing in which New Yorkers were shocked and felt for all the families and victims.
Now they are feeling devasted and torn apart by this nightmare that just won't leave our minds. Our lives are trying to get back to normal but you can see how the shops are deserted, the buses and trains carrying half the people they used to. We are all scared.Time heals all wounds as they say, but this will take a long time.
