TRUST EXTENDS SYMPATHY TO MEDIC FATHER OF GUN ATTACK VICTIM
Trust extends sympathy to medic father of gun attack victim
THE father of weekend murder victim, Gavin Brett was among medics who tended victims of the 1998 Omagh bombing.
Paramedic Michael Brett attempted to resuscitate his 18-year-old son a Protestant who was gunned down in a burst of automatic gunfire while talking to Catholic friends on Sunday evening.
In the hours after the Omagh explosion, Michael Brett was flown into the town to treat casualties of the explosion. In a message of sympathy to the bereaved family this week, Sperrin Lakeland Trust Chairman, Richard Scott said Trust staff had learned of the incident with 'horror'.
Mr Scott said "We feel sad to realise that one who gives much to others injured in the 'Troubles' should experience such tragedy.
"We extend our sympathy to his parents and family."
Gavin Brett was buried following a Service yesterday.
