DUBLIN CHILDREN PRESENT TOYS TO MEDICAL CENTRE
Dublin children present toys to Medical Centre
SCHOOLCHILDREN from a Dublin school put their caring thoughts into actions which benefited the people of Fintona.
Boys from the Christian Brothers College in Monkstown, gathered together toys and books which they presented to the Medical Centre in Fintona.
The caring gesture was the school's way of expressing condolences to local people following the Omagh bomb.
Ben Mullen, John Moriarty and Eoin Murphy were responsible for the organisation of the gifts which were given for the enjoyment of patients and their families. The health centre was also awarded a framed drawing with the inscription "the future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams" after the boys put their thoughts to paper.
Diedre Lang a teacher from the school, presented the drawing to Dr Kyran Monaghan of the Health Centre and it will receive pride of place.
It is hoped that the drawing will provide comfort and inspiration to those families and patients who were directly or indirectly caught up in the bomb attack.
