Call for care factory for Omagh
Lawrence Rush, whose wife, Libby, died in the Omagh bomb, has called for the establishment of a care factory in Omagh. His call came, following the recent news of disinvestment in Omagh.
He said that if Omagh was given a state of the art hospital, it would promote jobs and the local economy.
Mr Rush said that a number of local churches had agreed to encourage their congregations to send off the postcards which call for the securing rather than the diminution of services at the Tyrone County Hospital. So far the people of Omagh have sent off some 80,000 postcards to the Secretary of State, the US President and An Taoiseach.
Additionally, every member of Parliament, Lords and Commons have received individual copies, as have the members of the US Senate and the Congress. Mr Rush is now in the process of contacting every member of the Dail.
