DUKE AND DUCHESS OF GLOUCESTER VISIT OMAGH
Duke and Duchess of Gloucester visit Omagh
NURSES from Tyrone County Hospital were among those from the emergency services to met The Duke and Duchess of Gloucester during their Royal Visit to Omagh last Friday.
They were welcomed to Omagh District Council offices by Chief Executive. John McKinney to hear plans for the regeneration of Omagh in the aftermath of the August 15lh bomb. Members of the Omagh Fundraising Committee and local councillors were present as details of Omagh Renewal and Beyond were given to the royal visitors.
Following a private meeting with representatives of the security forces in Omagh, The Duke and Duchess then visited Omagh Leisure Centre where they had the opportunity to meet member of the emergency services.
Their Royal Highnesses were accompanied throughout the afternoon by The Duke and Duchess of Abercorn as they carried out their engagements.
