Star studded darts tournament for Mahon's Hotel

MAHON'S HOTEL in Irvinestown is the place to be next Friday night (Jan 15) when the first arrows are thrown in the three-day £5,000 World Invitational Darts tournament.organised in aid of the Omagh Memorial Fund.
Household names in the sport of darts, including four ex-world champions John Lowe, Richie Burnett, Keith Dellor and Bob Anderson, will be taking part in the spectacular event along with leading competitors like Cliff Lazarenko Jamie Harvey, Shayne Burgess and Rod Harrington, all giving their services free of charge for this worthy cause.
Many of these top players have been competing in the Embassy and Skol World Championships over the last fortnight, which were shown by both the BBC and Sky television, so they should be in fine fettle for this tournament.
On opening night next Friday the darts are underway at 6pm, although this evening is confined to Irish players only who will be playing in ladies and mens individual competitions.
Then on Saturday at 1pm the eight visiting pros will partner the Irish players in a series of ladies and mens doubles competitions. A blind draw will be in operation.
Finally on Sunday the Pro-Am will take place with eight groups of three, each group comprised of one professional, one N.Ireland player and one Rep of Ireland player.
