GORTIN EVENT HELD IN AID OF OMAGH FUND
Gortin event held in aid of Omagh fund
THE Gortin/Rouskey Social Centre was the venue for a superb concert. The proceeds of which went to the Omagh Fund.
The show was billed 'Stars of the Future'and the performers were certainly the stars of the night as they took to the stage, providing for the large audience a memorable night of music, song and drama.
The organisers decided to run the concert in aid of the Omagh Fund to show their solidarity with those who suffered on that fateful August 15th day.
Included in the line-up were the Loreto Grammar GCSE Music Class choir, of which bomb victim, Claire Gallagher is a member. Everyone had great admiration for the bravery of the young teenager.
The sum raised on the night was �2,000 and the organisers are very grateful to all those who donated during and since the show, including "a special person who gave �150 to make the final total".
