TYRONE FOLK IN NEW YORK HELP ORGANISE FUNDRAISER FOR OMAGH

On Friday night last the people of the Bronx in New York had their chance to make a donation to the Omagh Relief fund with a benefit concert which involved a mixture of local hands and the night headliners Bagatelle who travelled to New York and provided their services free.
Approximately 1500 attended the concert with a strong attendance from Tyrone and Fermanagh. The Bronx committee brought together people from Tyrone, Fermanagh and representatives from all over Ireland.
This concert was the second New York Fund raiser with another concert in the Queens district of New York. The fund-raiser is expected to raise over $50,000 for the Omagh Relief fund with the total New York effort uniting over $100,000 for the fund. Those who attended on Friday night enjoyed a array of music with a huge welcome for Bagatelle. A minutes silence was observed for the victims and those injured in the bomb.
