PRAYER SERVICES TO REMEMBER BOMB VICTIMS
Prayer services to remember bomb victims
THOSE who were killed and injured in the Omagh bombing will be remembered during two special prayer services due to be held in the town this weekend.
On Sunday afternoon, representatives of a prayer group from Drogheda will take part in a re-enactment of 'The Way of the Cross.'
The group plan to carry a special cross to the bomb ravaged town, and those wishing to take part in the service have been invited to assemble at Drumragh Car Park at 3pm.
A procession, organised by Omagh Churches' Forum, will then take place, and representatives of those who helped victims of the bombing will help carry the cross past Market Street and through the Campsie area of the town.
The group will pause for a moment's reflection at the bomb site itself.
St Eugene's Band will also play during the hour-long service.
Meanwhile, another service will also take place at the Silverbirch Hotel on Friday night at 8pm.
Organised by 'Maranatha in Northern Ireland', it will bring together Christians from all traditions for a period of reconciliation, renewal and healing.
The service has been described as "a time of sharing and fellowship," during which those present will have the opportunity to take part in prayer and meditation.
