MEMORIAL GARDEN TO BE MOVED
Memorial Garden to be moved
The Memorial Garden for those killed in the Omagh bomb is to be moved to a new site in the near future.
The matter was discussed by the District Services Committee of Omagh District Council, and members agreed to the need to make a firm decision on the location. At the meeting held in early October the need for public consultation was stressed.
It is thought that one of the possible sites for the garden is at Lisnamallard House. In the interim, Council Officers have been given permission to relocate the garden from its current position to another temporary site.
It was agreed that a special meeting 'in committee' be held to finalise the location of the garden.
