GRIMES AND MONAGHAN
The families of the late Mary Grimes, Avril Monaghan and baby Maura Monaghan wish to extend their sincere thanks to all those who sympathised with them in their recent sad bereavements. Thanks to the doctors, nurses, Ambulance Service, voluntary workers, the police personnel, those who helped in the recovery of the remains, Fr. Kevin Mullan and all at Omagh Leisure Centre. We would also like to thank all those who attended the removal of the remains, especially those who travelled great distances, called at the houses, brought or sent gifts, Mass cards, letters and cards of sympathy, phone messages and floral tributes. A special thanks to the many people who sent donations to the Sudan Appeal Fund. The families would also like to thank the social workers, police liaison officer and all the neighbours who assisted with the car parking, the directing of traffic, and all who helped with the catering in both homes. We would like to thank the clergy who visited the houses or sent messages; Cardinal Daly, Archbishop Brady, Bishop Duffy, Bishop Clifford, Fr. McAnerney, Fr. Quigley, Fr. McAleer and Fr. Dawson and all the priests, sisters and the many non-catholic Ministers of religion. Thanks to Archbishop Brady and Bishop Duffy who presided at the funeral Masses, to the celebrant Fr. James Grimes and the con-celebrants Fr. Sean McCartan, Fr. Arthur McAnerney, Fr. Gerard McAleer, Fr. John Terry P.P., Kanturk, Fr. Michael Toner, Fr. Lawrence Dawson, Fr. Peter O'Reilly.
Thanks also to the choirs, the soloists and the musicians who provided the music which made both Masses extra special. Thanks to the Mass servers and sacristans, the gravediggers and the undertakers, Paddy Montague and Francis Gormley, who carried out the arrangements so efficiently. Because of the massive and worldwide expression of sympathy to both families, it would not be possible to thank everyone individually as desired. We hope this acknowledgement will be accepted as a token of our sincere appreciation. The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass will be offered for your intentions. The Grimes and Monaghan families wish to extend their condolences to the other bereaved families and those injured in the Omagh bomb blast.
The Month's Mind Mass for Mary Grimes will be celebrated on Tuesday 15th September 1998 at 7.30 pm in the Church of the Immaculate Conception, Beragh.
The Month's Mind Mass for Avril and Maura Monaghan will be celebrated on Wednesday 16th September 1998 at 7.30 pm in St. Macartan's Church, Augher.
