New Appeal for Witnesses
POLICE in Omagh have launched a new appeal to help them apprehend those behind the Omagh bombing.
Detectives investigating the atrocity want to speak to the driver of a Mercedes Sprinter Van. The vehicle is believed to have been in the area of Campsie Road -Market Street, between 2.15 p.m. and 2.20 p.m. on the day of the bomb (Saturday August 15th).
A police spokesman said; "It is important that if you were in Omagh on the Saturday afternoon between 2.00 p.m. and 3.00 p.m. that you talk to detectives if you have not already done so.
Police particularly want to speak to members of the public who were in Market Street or High Street, whether driving a car, parking, (however briefly), or simply a pedestrian out shopping.
