LET THE BEREAVED SPEAK FOR THEMSELVES
Let the bereaved speak for themselves
ONE OF THE bereaved in the Omagh bomb, Lawrence Rushe, has hit out at local councillor for saying that President Clinton's visit to Omagh is inappropriate.
Mr Rushe said as far as he was concerned the President is coming to his wife's wake; " I am honoured that he has found the time to do that.
Mr Rushe continued, "I resent anyone speaking for me, let everyone speak for themselves."
Alec Hughes, whose daughter Julia also died in the bombing said he would not be present to meet the President as he would be away on important family business.
However he said he had no objections to the President's visit. Mr Hughes said the family were taking one day at a time and that Julia's death left a terrible void that would never be filled.
