OMAGH VISIT ON US PRESIDENT'S ITINERARY
US President, Bill Clinton will visit Omagh when he comes to the North next Thursday.
A White House spokesman confirmed yesterday evening (Wed) that the President had made a late change to the scheduled trip in order visit the town.
The President's press secretary said Mr Clinton saw his visit to Omagh as a way of continuing to support the peace process.
The spokesperson added that the President saw this as a way to "make it clear that those who would use violence to stop the peace process will not succeed."
Mr Clinton also wanted to "express his sympathy and condolence" to the entire community of the bomb damaged town.
