Police to restage last moments if bomb car

A RECONSTRUCTION is to be staged at Market Street on Saturday afternoon in a bid to jog the memories of local people who were in the area before or at the time of the bomb.
The reconstruction which will restage the movements of the car and its occupants as it drove into and parked outside SD Kells will be held between 2pm-3pm.
It has been revealed that a vital piece of evidence has been uncovered by forensics experts.
The registration plate of the car - MDZ 5211 - was found among the rubble and is currently being subjected to tests.
Police have taken the opportunity to renew their appeal in relation to the movements of the Red Vauxhall Cavalier.
"Did you see this car being driven into Omagh between 2pm and 2.30pm on Saturday August 15th, or did you see it anywhere in Northern Ireland before that date.
A police spokesman said the public response to their appeals has been good so far but they are still seeking the the co-operation of the public.
"No piece of evidence is too small, it could be a vital piece."
