BASS STILL LEAD THE WAY

The Omagh and District Clay Pigeon Club's Home Decor Summer League has now only three nights left from the eighteen night programme.
Bass suffered two shock defeats in a row last week but regained their form this week to defeat M & L, who remain at the bottom of the table. Top scorers on the Bass team were:- N. McCann 25/74; B. McGillion 25/74; F. McGurgan 25/74; T. Woodhead 24/71; and D. McFarland for a total team score of 364/375.
J. Crozier was the top scorer on the M & L team with 25/74 followed by E. McClements 24/71; P. McKeown 24/71; A. Patterson 24/71 and Irish Junior International D. Jordan 23/69 for a team 3core of 356/375.
On trap two Ewing/Elect slipped up betting beat by Finlay's. A win for Ewing/Elect would have put more pressure on the Bass team who are now leading by 4 1/2. Top scorers on the Finlay's team were Irish International H. Knox 25/74 and Irish International Ball Trap Shooter I. Caldwell 25/74 followed by K. Crozier 25/73, M. Raflewsksi 25/73 and J. Colton 25/72 for a team score of 366/375.
Top scorer on the Ewing/23 l/2pts; Elect team was J. Gallagher 25/74 followed by R. J. Anthony 25/72, F McCullagh 25/72, Irish International M. Martin 24/72 and E. Kelly 24/71 for a team score of 361/375.
The positions in the League Table at present are:- Bass 23 l/2pts; Ewing/Elect 25pts; Finlay's 23 1/2pts; M & L 20pts.
In the Bass Rose Bowl Individual positions are changing on a nightly basis as shooters can now drop their lowest scores.
Members of the Bass team have now completed all the scores required for trap one. Defending champion B. McGillion appears to be in a good position to claim the title again.
Counting twelve first line scores the top position are:-B. McGillion 896/900; J. Crozier 876/900; D Monteith 872/900; J. Laird 872/900; M. Martin 868/900.
Club members are asked to return tickets as soon as possible to enable the Committee to get the draw organised.
Due to the shorter evenings, Club members are asked to report as early as possible for the remaining nights.
Last night's programme (Wednesday) was cancelled as a mark of respect to the dead and injured in the Omagh Bomb.
