OMAGH BOMB ATTACK - PUBLIC INFORMATION BULLETIN

CRIMINAL INJURIES CLAIMS Any member of the public who sustained a physical or mental injury is reminded that they need to forthwith report their injury, either at their local police station or at the police desk which has been set up at the Council's Emergency Co-ordination Centre. Such persons are also advised to contact their solicitor.

EMERGENCY CO-ORDINATION CENTRE
An Emergency Co-ordination Centre has been set up at:

Representatives from The Compensation Agency, Police Compensation, Social Security Agency, Social Services and other counselling services, the Northern Ireland Housing Executive, Planning Service, Environmental Health and Building Control will be on hand to offer advice.
The hours of opening are 9.00 a.m. to 6.00 p.m.

OMAGH MEMORIAL FUND
The Council has set up a Memorial Fund account at:

Payments can be made by cash, cheque, Visa, postal order, or direct payment to Omagh District Council. Cheques to be made payable to
"Omagh Memorial Fund".
The Fund will be used to create a lasting and fitting memorial to all those who lost their lives and were injured in last Saturday's bomb attack.The Fund will be administered by the Fund Trustees.

INTERDENOMINATIONAL SERVICE OF PRAYER AND REFLECTION
There will be an open air interdenominational service of prayer and reflection in
Omagh Town Centre on Saturday 22 August 1998 at 2.45 p.m. which will include a minute's silence.
This event is being organised by the Churches' Forum with the co-operation of Omagh District Council, Omagh Town Traders Association, the Omagh Chamber of Commerce and Industry and Tyrone Vintners Association.
As it is anticipated that there will be a massive turnout, car parking will be strictly controlled and people are advised to come early (would suggest be in the town by 1.30 p.m.), to share transport and to park on the outskirts of the town.

NATIONAL DAY OF MORNING
There will be a National Day of Mourning. Further details will be announced when available.

CLOSURE OF BUSINESS PREMISES
Omagh Town Traders Association, Omagh Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Tyrone Vinters Association have agreed that Omagh shops and business premises will close on Saturday 22 August 1998 as a mark of respect to all bomb victims.

OFFERS OF ASSISTANCE
Numerous offers of assistance in the form of accommodation for relatives visiting family members in hospital, transport and holiday breaks for bomb victims and their families have been made through the Council. Further details are available on request.
