Firemen's Union express revulsion at atrocity
The Fire Brigades' Union wishes to express its utter horror and revulsion at this senseless act of violence, which has resulted in such tragic loss of life and suffering.
We would like to extend our deepest sympathy to all those who have been injured and to families who have lost loved ones.
Once again our members have been at "the sharp-end". We place on record our admiration for the work of all the emergency services and out thanks to all of those who helped those unable to help themselves.
Like so many in Northern Ireland we look forward to a time when horrors, such as that perpetrated at Omagh, can be consigned to the pages of history. The 'Peace Process' remains the only way of making such a prospect a reality.
