POLICE APPEAL FOR INFORMATION
Police appeal for information
Detectives investigating Saturday's explosion believe the vehicle used to carry the bomb the position in Market Street was a red/maroon Vauxhall Cavalier, stolen in Carrickmacross in the Republic of Ireland on Thursday, 13 August, 1998.
When stolen it was bearing registration number 91 DL 2554 and we believe it may have been bearing registration number MDZ 5211.
Anyone who saw this vehicle between Thursday and Saturday is asked to contact the incident room at Omagh or any Garda Station Incident Room, Omagh (01662) 246177 or use the Crimestoppers number 0800 555 111.
Meanwhile police are advising public that Campsie Road, High Street, Market Street and Drumragh Avenue will be closed until further notice and that police will notify keyholders of businesses affected by the bomb when they can return to their premises.
