Emergency Co-ordination Centre based at High Street
Emergency Co-ordination Centres swung into operation soon after Omagh's horrific bomb.
One of the centres is operating from 10 High Street, Omagh, and has been working around the clock offering advice to members of the public by phone or in the office.
Representatives from the Compensation Agency, Police Compensation, Social Security Agency, Social Services and other counselling services, the Northern Ireland Housing Executive, Planning Service, Environment Health and Building control are on hand to offer advice.
A Centre spokesman on Wednesday said: "We have been kept busy throughout.
"Social Services have been inundated with calls and have been kept extremely busy" said the spokesman.
As yet staff have received very little enquiries about claims for compensation.
All members of the public who sustained physical or mental injuries are urged to report their injury to either their local police station or at the police desk which has been set up at the Council's Emergency co-ordination centre. They are also advised to contact their solicitor.
The High Street centre is opened from 9.00am to 6.00pm and can be telephoned at Omagh 252599.
