Murphy gives £800,000 for Omagh families' lawsuit
FAMILIES of the Omagh bomb victims will get £800,000 of taxpayers' money to bring the bombers to justice.
Yesterday's announcement will allow them to mount a civil case against the men they believe to be behind the worst single atrocity of the Troubles.
Speaking days before the fifth anniversary of the attack which left 29 people and unborn twins dead. Secretary of State Paul Murphy said he was delighted to help. He added: "The majority of people want to see the families bring it to court."
Michael Gallagher, left, whose son Aidan, 21, was killed by the bomb, said: "I think it will go a long way towards giving us justice."
