IT'S hard to believe four years have passed since that terrible atrocity in Omagh. Men, women, children, the unborn - all targeted in the republican movements dirty war.
The Omagh relatives are certainly made of strong stuff and ought to be commended for refusing to give up in a fight to get the killers of their loved ones convicted.
Certainly their persistence has highlighted the failure of the system to get convictions of serial killers. Something many other more silent victims know only too well.
The fact is the Omagh bombers are known for what they have done. But a community is staying silent despite the embarrassment the Omagh bombers are to the forlorn republican cause. But still republican leaders will not lift a finger to help.
Mitchell McLaughlin this week said the "police would be better addressing the credibility gap" rather than seeking the Omagh bombers. What a cheek. Does he not realise that such comments remove any credibility he thought he had?
