MICHEAL McKEVITT
CURRENTLY awaiting trail in maximum trail in maximum security Portlaoise Prison, Co Laois.
He is charged with being a member of an unlawful organisation and directing its activities.
McKevitt's is the first prosecution in Ireland for directing terrorism under legislation introduced after the Omagh bomb.
McKevitt, 51, is married to Bernadette Sands, the sister of IRA hunger-striker Bobby Sands.
The couple have three children and own a plush house in Dundalk.
