SUSPECTED Real IRA Officer Commanding. A career IRA man since 1980s, the 38-year-old left the Provos after the ceasefire.
Gardai believe he was the Real IRA's director of operations along the border.
He was jailed last October for five years for membership of a dissident group.
When Gardai raided his ranch-style house near Dundalk they found an underground bunker, walkie-talkies, a radio scanner, disposable paper body suits, black insulating tape and a small bore tubing similar to that used in explosives.
