Omagh agony as thugs destroy garden

THUGS who destroyed the Omagh bomb memorial garden were last night branded scum by relatives of the victims.
Stanley McCombe whose wife Ann was killed in the Real IRA blast, said: "I was close to tears that human, beings could do such a thing."
And Michael Gallagher, father of 21- year-old victim Adrian, said: "It is a sacred place. It beggars belief - we'll never understand it."
Thugs tore out trees and plants, overturned benches and smashed flower pots in the garden which commemorates the 29 people killed in August 1998.
Last night, Secretary of State John Reid vowed to catch those responsible.
