CONSTABLE Gary McClatchey was one of many police officers and civilians who demonstrated outstanding courage in the aftermath of the Omagh bomb.
Because of him, Pauline Green is alive today.
Constable McClatchey and his colleagues pulled the 19-year-old from under a burning engine in the moments after the bomb.
Another officer continued to help victims even though she herself was badly injured.
Evidence given at the inquest into the atrocity yesterday was harrowing.
But among such vain, evil and suffering, the bright light of the human strength and goodness prevails.
