MOTHER TELLS OF HORROR FIND

MOTHER TELLS OF HORROR FIND
By ALLISON McLAUGHLIN

A MUM told how she found a severed, shoeless foot in the debris - and feared it was her young son's.
Dorothy Graham, 39, said: "I was racking my brains trying to remember what socks he was wearing." She was shopping with nine-year-old Andrew when the bomb went off just yards away.
She found the dismembered foot as she searched for him through the thick acrid smoke.
As it cleared she saw him across the street - crying out as he believed she was among the five dead bodies strewn around him.
"I took him up in my arms and he was sobbing, 'Mammy, I thought you were dead'." Andrew, the youngest of the injured, was showered in burning shrapnel. Doctors gave him a piece after removing it.
Dorothy, badly cut and burned, has slept beside him every night to comfort him when he wakes from horrific nightmares.
She said: "I don't know how to explain to him why this happened to us because I don't understand it myself."
