STOLEN CAR CLUE
STOLEN CAR CLUE
THE car used in the bombing was stolen last Thursday, police said last night.
It was taken in the early hours from St Macartan's Villas, a residential area in the Co Monaghan town of Carrickmacross.
Detectives hope the maroon four-door Vauxhall Cavalier will provide vital clues and appealed for public help to trace its movements.
Supt John Farrelly said: "The car is a very central part of the investigation.
"It was fitted with false number plates and was in good condition, with a telescopic aerial on the rear passenger side. There was an Irish airline staff badge on the windscreen."
