EUROPE FEELS THE PAIN
Europe feels the pain
A GROUP of visiting European Parliament members condemned the Omagh bombing as an attack on democracy, and conveyed their sympathy.
In a letter to Taoiseach Bertie Ahern and David Trimble, First Minister, the eight visitors from Spain, Germany, Austria, Italy and France, said the death of two Spanish people makes them identify even more closely with the tragedy.
"We wish to associate ourselves with your determination that those responsible should be brought to justice and their murderous campaign be brought to an end," the letter said.
