A DREAM SHATTERED
A dream shattered
Omagh bomb victim Sean McLaughlin (11) had a hope that one day the North would find a lasting peace.
He had penned his thoughts, with five friends, in a poem which he presented, to President Mary McAleese at Aras and Uachtarain during a visit there on June 5.
But the murderers who planted the bomb in Omagh have ensured he will never see his dream fulfilled.
These are his words:
The Bridge
Orange and green - it doesn't matter
United now
Don't shatter our dream
Scatter the seeds of peace over our land
So we can travel
Hand in hand across the bridge of Hope
