OMAGH BOMB FAMILIES AWAIT VERDICT

Omagh bomb families await verdict

The families of those killed in the Omagh bomb will learn on Monday the verdict of Justice Morgan in the landmark case of the Omagh civil action in the High Court in Belfast.
A number of the Omagh families are suing the organisation responsible for the Omagh Bomb (RIRA), as well as the alleged terrorists involved in the bombing.
According to Michael Gallagher, chairman of the Omagh Support and Self Help Group, the outcome of this case could have an enormous impact for victims of terrorism at home and around the world.
"Whilst we don't wish to prejudge the outcome of the trial, it will be the end of a long struggle by the families to bring this case to court and whatever the outcome we wish to thank our law team for their dedication and everyone who has supported and contributed to make this possible," he said.
