Omagh Community Youth Choir auditions for new members
Next Thursday, September 26, the Omagh Community Youth Choir auditions for new members in the Academy music department at 3.40 pm.
The choir, which recently celebrated its tenth anniversary, was set up in the aftermath of the Omagh bombing as a cross-community project to bring comfort to all sides of the community.
In its 10 years the Omagh Community Youth Choir has provided an amazing musical opportunity to the youth of Omagh.
They have performed on national television, in front of royalty and have been heavily involved in charity work for numerous causes.
Only last month the choir returned from a triumphant tour of the Mid West region of the United States, stopping off in Chicago, Ohio and then performing for three night; at the world famous; Milwaukee Irish fest to great acclaim.
The choir is made up of young adults from all the schools in the Omagh district aged from fifth year at school to approximately 21 and everyone is welcome to audition.
