Bomb victim to be remembered at concert
A CROSS-COMMUNITY fundraising concert is being held in Knockmoyle Community Hall on Monday, January 1, at 8pm. Part of the proceeds of this concert will go to the Samantha McFarland Memorial Fund.
Samantha tragically lost her life in the Omagh bomb in 1998. At the time she was planning to take a year out from her studies to go to Nepal to work with children.
To fulfil this wish, Samantha's mother, Doreen, has been fundraising to build homes there for orphaned children and to help start them off in employment. "Do come along and support this worthy cause," said a spokesperson.
