OMAGH : WHY? (POEM)
Omagh : Why?
Today I stand here,
With a tear in my eye,
And wonder why,
The people of Omagh had to die,
A united Ireland, or get rid of the Brits,
Is that why they were blown to bits.
Today I will bow my head in shame,
I hope the bombers do the same,
No one will forgive them for what they have done,
For they have killed father, mother, baby sister and son.
Today I love this land of ours,
And the people in it,
Protestant and Catholic we are all the same,
Our blood is red.
Our God's the same,
So let there be no Omaghs' ever again.
