BOMB VICTIMS TO BE REMEMBERED AT FIFTH ANNIVERSARY SERVICE
THE fifth anniversary of the Omagh bomb which claimed 31 lives including unborn twins on August 15, 1998 will be commemorated tomorrow (Friday) with a remembrance service at the Memorial Garden, off Drumragh Avenue, at lunchtime.
Following a minute's silence at lpm., there will be a service of music, readings and prayers to remember those who lost their lives and those who were injured and bereaved on August 15,1999.
Participating in the service will be Rev. Louise Crawford and Rev. William Seale, of St. Columba's Church of Ireland, Monsignor Joseph Donnelly, Sacred Heart Church, Rev. Philip Corrigan, of Fintona Methodist Church, Rev. John Murdoch, of First Omagh Presbyterian Church and Rev. Brendan McCarthy, Omagh Community Church.
Representatives of those who suffered on the day, as well as representatives of the various traditions in the town, will also have a role in the service, which should last about 30 minutes.
Following the prayers and readings, a wreath will be laid in the Memorial Garden on behalf of the people of Omagh.
