CRUSE OFFERS COUNSELLING TO BEREAVED PEOPLE

Cruse offers counselling to bereaved people

THE OMAGH branch of Cruse Bereavement Care offers a free counselling service to those who have lost a loved one.
Its doors are open to all who are having difficulty coping with the loss of a loved one, no matter how their loved one died.
"There are many events that will evoke memories of the death of someone close. Some are personal and obvious such as a wedding anniversary or a birthday or the anniversary of the death itself," said a spokeswoman.
"A place or even the type of weather may evoke feelings of anger, sadness or loneliness before it is realised that it has associations with the loss of a loved one.
"Other people can be strong reminders of the person who has died. It is not unusual for a child to remind a parent of another dead child or a lost partner. The death of someone famous or publicity about disasters and traumatic deaths can bring back painful images," she said.
The local branch of Cruse is based at Riverside House, Woodvale Avenue, Omagh.
Telephone number to call is tel/fax 8224 4414 or tel: 6632 2844.
