Garden of Remenbrance relocates
THE Garden of Remembrance to honour those who died in the Market Street bomb on August 15, is to find a new, temporary home in time of the second anniversary of the atrocity.
A spokeswoman for Omagh District Council this week said that demolition work at lower Market Street would begin next week to allow rebuilding work of shops and the new Community House.
"Due to the demolition work, the Garden of Remembrance, which has been situated at the corner of lower Market Street and Drumragh Avenue, will be temporarily resited," she said.
The spokeswoman added: "Rebuilding of lower Market Street will commence during August. It is estimated the overall project will take 10 months to complete."
