Mr John McKinney, chief executive of Omagh District Council, accepting a cheque for �20,000 on behalf of the Omagh Fund from Mr Colin Reid, managing director of TASK Software Ltd, and Roisin O'Connor, marketing executive of TASK. Three major fundraisers were organised to reach this substantial sum; a go-karting event, a parachute jump and an auction. TASK, in conjunction with the Omagh Fund, organised a Charity Fundraising Day centred on a Go-karting Endurance Race at Nutts Corner Motor Circuit. TASK Software Ltd competed against teams from both private companies and Northern Ireland Local Authorities who were all going Go-kart crazy for this good cause. In addition, TASK staff from their England office and clients from Great Britain, jumped on planes for the Omagh Fund. Finally a much sought after football, signed by the treble winning team, was auctioned by Mr Wilf McGuinness, a former player and manager of Manchester United, at the Annual Sporting Dinner.
